In 2026, we are launching a new addition to our existing range: freeze-dried foods in single-portion bags with a 25-year shelf life. This provides increased flexibility for businesses that need individual portions. Main courses are prepared in the same way as our gold jars, but can also be prepared directly in the bag if necessary. By adding hot water, the meal is ready to serve after about 10–12 minutes. If hot water is not available, main courses can also be prepared with cold water; in these situations, the bag needs to stand for about 60 minutes. Our breakfast dishes and snacks are recommended to be prepared with cold water, which means they can be eaten immediately. This is particularly beneficial in the event of a power outage or other situations where backup power or heating is not available. The portion size in the single-portion bags is slightly larger than the portions in our gold jars. Each bag contains about 150 grams, which means a higher calorie content per portion and contributes to sufficient energy intake when needed. The concept is procured, ready to be called out through a framework agreement with Adda. Most municipalities in Sweden as well as a large number of government agencies and public companies are entitled to call for the agreement.
Freeze-dried foods in single-portion format with a long shelf life can be an advantageous alternative for certain businesses, functions or departments where individual portion management facilitates planning and distribution.
